No method or procedure, however sound, can guarantee that an experiment will not yield an inconclusive result; and no researcher, however experienced, can predict - with complete certainty - the results of their experiment. For this reason, investment in scientific research carries with it a risk of principal loss (in the case of loans), and the risk of experimental inconclusiveness (in the case of grants).

- RESEARCHER REGISTRATION -

Before registering as a researcher, there are several important terms that must be clarified. Though these are reviewed in the Terms of Use; in the interest of clarity, they will also be enumerated here. Firstly, by registering, you must agree to the following terms:

For each project proposal submitted, you agree to itemize each expense within your requested/projected budget.
For each applied project proposal submitted, you agree to provide a fixed window of time within which the loan supplied by your project investors will be repaid.
For each project proposal approved, and subsequently financed, you agree to provide periodic updates (the period being dependent upon the nature and projected time frame of the research project) concerning your progress in the form of a research log (R-LOG) that will be visible to those individuals who finance your work.
For each project proposal approved, financed, and subsequently completed, you agree to publish your results (first) within The HBP™ prior to submitting manuscripts for formal publication in an academic journal.

Secondly, no information submitted within this registration form will be shared by The HBP™ (in any way) with any third party.

Finally, in order to register as a researcher herein, you must provide your telephone number. This number will be used by The HBP™ to contact you and verify your background and research credentials. It will not be published in any way online, and will only be referenced further if you find you need to identify the email address with which you registered.
